This 3-day safari is ideal for travelers flying into the Serengeti from Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam or Arusha. Explore the wildlife-rich Seronera area, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater and finish with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park before returning to Arusha or continuing to Zanzibar.
Fly from Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam or Arusha to Seronera in the Serengeti. Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and begin your game drive through the Central Serengeti, an area renowned for its abundant wildlife and year-round game viewing. Depending on the season, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra, as well as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs and other predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before continuing your wildlife experience. Later, head to your accommodation in the Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive as you leave the Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive among one of Tanzania’s highest concentrations of wildlife. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. After exploring the crater, ascend and continue to your lodge in Karatu or on the Ngorongoro Escarpment for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes and look for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons and the famous tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, continue to Arusha Airport for your onward flight, including the option to fly back to Zanzibar. Your safari ends upon arrival at the airport.
